Dopo mesi di mistero che circondano potenziali ospiti , la nascita (e la rapida morte) della categoria “film popolare” e un mix selvaggio di voci run-of-show, la notte più grande di Hollywood è arrivata e finita.
I 91° Academy Awards sono stati consegnati domenica al Dolby Theatre di Hollywood, con tutte le 24 categorie competitive presentate in onda durante una trasmissione televisiva che ha prodotto traguardi importanti per le donne e le persone di colore nell’industria cinematografica.
Gli Oscar del 2019 hanno seguito una delle gare più aperte della memoria recente, come tutti i tradizionali precursori dell’Accademia: i SAG Awards ( Black Panther ), i PGA Awards (Green Book), i DGA Awards (Roma) e la Writers Guild Premi (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Eighth Grade) – riconosciuti film diversi con i loro primi premi, rendendo la gara per il miglior film un anno difficile da prevedere.
Alla fine, è stato Green Book di Peter Farrelly ad aggiudicarsi il primo premio dell’Academy, con Olivia Colman ( The Favorite ) , attrice vincitrice della statuetta come miglior attrice, che ha suscitato un sorprendente sconvolgimento per Glenn Close, la più grande sorpresa della serata.
Altrove nelle categorie di recitazione, la star di Bohemian Rhapsody Rami Malek ha vinto il premio come miglior attore per la sua interpretazione come frontman dei Queen Freddie Mercury, Regina King ha trionfato per il suo ruolo di matriarca voluta dalla parte di Se Beale Street Could Talk e Mahershala Ali in Green Book ha vinto il suo secondo trofeo come Miglior attore non protagonista con il suo lavoro nel film biografico Don Shirley. Le vittorie del trio hanno collettivamente segnato per la prima volta nella storia degli Academy Awards che la maggior parte dei vincitori di recitazione di una cerimonia erano persone di colore.
Altrove, gli artigiani di Black Panther Ruth E. Carter (Best Costume Design) e Hannah Beachler (Best Production Design) hanno fatto la storia come le prime donne nere a vincere nelle rispettive categorie (oltre a guadagnare il Marvel Cinematic Universe le sue prime vincite agli Oscar). Il loro successo ha contribuito alla cerimonia più femminile incentrata sull’accademia fino ad oggi, con un record di 15 donne vincenti in tutte le categorie.
Alla fine della serata – che ha visto la partecipazione degli artisti più neri (sette) durante una singola trasmissione televisiva degli Oscar, inclusa la prima vittoria competitiva di Spike Lee, come la miglior sceneggiatura adattata – i quattro trofei di Bohemian Rhapsody si sono rivelati il più alto successo della serata, seguito da Green Book , Roma e Black Panther con tre vittorie ciascuno.

Se volete proprio sapere l’opinione di noi di Showteller & Drama Addicted allora ve la diciamo senza troppi riguardi!! Quest’anno i vincitori degli Oscar sono più che azzeccati, ma soprattutto ci piace che finalmente le persone di colore abbiano avuto le più importanti statuette nel mondo del cinema. Era ora che anche questa importante “competizione” riconoscesse che dietro allo schermo e davanti ci sono attori, attrici, filmamaker etc veramente importanti, quindi quest’anno l’Academy ha finalmente premiato tutte queste persone e speriamo che si continui così!!
