“Instinct”: non avrà una season 3!

Presto verrà “chiuso il caso” in modo permanente per il programma televisivo Instinct su CBS. La rete ha annullato la serie della domenica sera, quindi non ci sarà una terza stagione per Reinart e Needham.

Un thriller poliziesco, basato sul romanzo di James Patterson, Murder Games , le star di Instinct Alan Cumming, Bojana Novakovic, Daniel Ings, Naveen Andrews e Sharon Leal. Il dramma è incentrato sul Dr. Dylan Reinhart (Cumming), un ex agente della CIA che è attirato dal suo pacifico ritiro come professore universitario e autore, per aiutare il detective della polizia di New York Lizzie Needham (Novakovic) a catturare un serial killer. La vecchia collega della CIA di Dylan, Julian Cousins ​​(Andrews), dà una mano, insieme al CO di Lizzie, il tenente Jasmine Gooden (Leal). La seconda stagione è iniziata con Dylan ripristinato come consulente del NYPD, dove può sia impressionare che irritare Lizzie. Nel frattempo, il marito di Dylan, Andy (Ings), persegue l’adozione come un modo per la coppia di diventare finalmente genitori .

Un paio di episodi di Instinct andranno in onda domani sera su CBS e il finale della serie si svolgerà domenica 25 agosto.

Il creatore della serie Michael Rauch ha rilasciato una dichiarazione sulla cancellazione dello show e Cumming e Novak hanno condiviso i loro pensieri.

I’m very sad to relay the news that @instinctcbs won’t be renewed for a third season. We will be doubling up this Sunday and our season 2 (and series) finale will air Sunday August 25th. Endless thanks to @Alan cummingsnaps @bojnovak for making Dylan and Lizzie more everything than I could have ever hoped. And thank you to our incredible crew, cast, writers, producers and everyone who helped make our show, and to do it with respect and kindness. And an especially giant thank you to our diehard fans for your love, loyalty and excellent taste. (Is it too soon so ask for a reboot?)

So the word is out. @instinctcbs will not be returning for a third season. Almost exactly three years ago I was sent a galley copy of a book by @jamespattersonbooks and @howardroughan and then I met the show runner @mbr34 who was to adapt it for TV and I jumped in. And I’m still in, for two more episodes tomorrow and the last one ever next Sunday. And while I’m sorry I won’t be getting to play with @bojnovak and the rest of the amazing cast and crew again, I’m grateful for two seasons of fun and gore and feeling like a dandy thanks to @danlawsonstyle’s costumes, and selfies with corpses and vegan options at catering and Lala’s occasional guest appearances in the police station when she got bored in her basket beneath my desk. I’m also proud to have played the first every leading character in a US network drama who is gay. Yes, really. Because of @instinctcbs millions of people will have seen a same sex marriage portrayed for the first time and I hope we changed and opened some minds in the process.
