La 28° edizione dei Critics Choice Awards si è svolta domenica sera al Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel di Los Angeles. La cerimonia annuale ha onorato l’anno nel cinema e in televisione con 14 nomination cinematografiche per “Everything Everywhere All at Once” di A24, mentre “Abbott Elementary” della ABC è stata nominata per la televisione con sei.

Chelsea Handler ha ospitato la trasmissione CW, subentrando all’attore Taye Diggs, che ha ospitato gli ultimi quattro anni della cerimonia di premiazione. Premi speciali sono stati assegnati a Janelle Monáe, che ha ricevuto il premio #SeeHer, mentre Jeff Bridges è stato insignito del premio alla carriera.
